Writing and the great

I was watching Alexander the other day with my partner (yes I know raunchy gay sex)
And it piqued back up my interest in how much change a person can make in the world.

I have always been fascinated by Egypt, more than their ability to create the oldest ancient wonder of the world, the only one still intact, and one that modern day engineers are a bit unsure as to how they did it, (besides that they killed thousands of slaves) was the fact that they created writing! Every person reading this owes that to them (I say them as no one is sure who wrote the first hieroglyph) and so we have been able to record human history over the last 5 and a half thousand(ish) years. The mind boggles to think what happened before then, were we simply animals before that stage? I doubt it, as marks of 'civilisation' were around long before that.

Something else that sings to me about egypt, is the show of pure will, how one person can control so many, without the need for physical dominance, the power of the human mind as I went into in my last post. That power is limitless, which is why I can't definitely say that any religion is wrong, or that at one time in history witches and wizards did not exist. I am a believer that anything is possible, if you TRULY believe in something, it can manifest itself as 'real', too many times children are told that they can't do something, and that the world is harsh, and the world is a BAD place, and so they grow up with this belief, and you know what, the world IS a bad place, but not because of the things that happen, the 'bad' things happen because people believe in them. Of course it would be impossible (near ;) ) to change everyone's beliefs on this in an instant, but if you look at all of the historical figures throughout history who achieved anything humongous, you will see it started off with a belief!

But I digress, this does not tap into the origin of writing, and its meaning to me. Writing, gave the less physically powerful, a means to be powerful beyond what the most muscled up 'alpha male' could ever hope to acomplish. The power behind words is huge! In the end, there is only one thing that a person can change that will effect their life and all that they do, and all that they experience, and that is their mind. So in saying that, if you are able to change someones mind, you essentially have a higher level of control, and people wonder why there is such a huge gap between our rich and our poor, they are afraid to lose this power.

I went to a comedy festival gig last night, and I saw Will Anderson, very funny, I would reccomend it to anyone, but there was one point he made that really stuck with me; 85 people have as much resources at their disposal as half the world (3.5 billion people) now this is staggering, there has never been a time in history when the ratio has been so large in proportion, (mostly because the population only hit 1 billion, just over 200 years ago) and yet, I don't know of any of these people doing any AMAZING things (in my mind) to compare with the pyramids. This is because, they too are trapped, constantly striving for an increase of a number on their screen, the money isn't even real any more, it's now just a meaningless number, most of which will not be used by themselves, what most people don't understand is that money isn't actually valuable, money is a concept, a concept the numeration of the value of products and services.

One day I plan on being VERY rich, first because I want to live in comfort and not have to do anything that I want to do, admittedly selfish, but that's fine with me. And secondly, to put me in a position to make REAL change in this world, I will start a revolution in my time, the world WILL NOT know what hit it, too much injustice, too much wrong with this world, I'm not saying I will fix it all, but I'm going to fucking try!

As always, love to you all

The power of the Human Brain!

Hey world :)

About time I wrote another post, and today is a joyous occasion, because yesterday I went to court, and I got a diversion. For the last couple of weeks I had been worrying about this court case coming up, it was stressing me out, it was putting pressure on my relationship with my lovely partner :( It was really starting to get me towards the end, right up until somebody mentioned that I would be getting a particular judge, who was notorious for being completely unreasonable (there are stories here of my brother and a close friend who got screwed over by this guy). All of a sudden, I remembered something that I have told other people all my life, YOU decide what YOUR outcome is going to be, suddenly my worries disappeared, I felt like laughing! I was in the middle of my family and friends, who expected me to take this matter very seriously, all I said was one little comment to my partner "I'll just have to stop myself from smiling the whole time" And she looked at me like I was absolutely nuts!

Maybe I was crazy, I don't know, but all I knew was everything was going to work out fine, I had spent too long listening to other people, and it had nearly got in my head, I had nearly given in to despair, but at the last minute I DECIDED; that I would walk out of the court that day a happy man.

You know what happened?

Suddenly out of nowhere, there was a different judge, not the one who screwed over a best friend and brother, but another man, a new judge! I nearly laughed my ass off, my lawyer then went into his speal about my early childhood, my achievements etc. Eventually the judge asked a question about whether we had applied for a diversion or not? Which of course we had, but the informant (police officer charging me) had refused to go down that path, Lo and behold, an hour later, I walk out of there with barely a slap on the wrist ($250 fine and a 6 month good behaviour bond) and most importantly, no criminal record.

I still sweated through the hearing, but I was actually kind of excited, (not that I ever want to go back there again) I learned a lot from this whole episode.

First, drinking is bad and can make a fool out of the best of people.

Second (and most importantly), I should not let anyone's beliefs influence my own so easily.

The world is your oyster! You can have ANYTHING you want! The only thing stopping you from achieving whatever you want is YOU. And last of all I want to quote (possibly misquote) something a good friend of mine said recently, and who also inspired me to start my own blog, "The only thing you need to change to be happy, is your MIND"

Peace and love to you all

Money and Technology, How the world will change inside our lifetime

I think to anyone that really looks, they will see that the world is changing faster than we could have ever imagined it, technology is growing at such an exponential pace that even the younger generations are starting to fall behind. Politics, money and technology, none of these things can stay the same, or else we will surely stagnate and die, people often are willing to accept the harshness of life, they let the government stick their hands in their pockets, because they are taught "this is the right way", "the nice policeman will look after you", "the government has our best interest at heart", "this party is better than that party", ALL a some sort of SICK JOKE.

Well I say no more! we can't live like this, we are trading freedom for ownership of objects, we replace ideals with routine, and all we do is consume, consume, consume, and all the while the "fat cats" sit back and laugh at us, because we run around like good little boys and girls and play the game according to their rules!

I tried introducing a concept to some friends, a concept where everyone benefits, I benefit, they benefit, children in 3rd world countries benefit, the environment benefits, and it was labelled a "scheme", a "scam" and some other nonsense, without ever taking the time to look into it, because they have been taught that "the world is bad, you can't trust other people, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" why is the concept of a world where the benefits of our shopping, our consuming nature, don't only benefit the rich and powerful? Are they that well brainwashed? I offer to anyone willing to listen, a way to create a bright future for themselves, a brighter future for others, and a brighter future for all our future generations, and now heres the point where you say, "so whats the catch?" the catch is nothing, why does there have to be a catch? Join Free, benefit immediately, and do good by providing funds to those in need, and providing funds to a more sustainable future, without ever taking a dollar out of your pocket, the corporations pay this for you, to say thank you for shopping with them, doesn't this sound quite Utopian? Well it's actually quite real, I can show you how to do this, for FREE, the catch is it may take a little bit more organisation/effort than your average couch potato might have, and even then its barely.

I don't plan on trading my time for money much longer, I will help anyone who is willing to be helped, I have great vision for the future of this world, I have been held back long enough listening to other people's beliefs. Hold on world, if you can't see what I see, that is your issue, and to be honest I don't really care, I know people out there will care, try to hold me back, and I say good luck to you, you'll have to kill me.

Love always,

Tom
